Slitting:

 Mac Converting specializes in slitting  material from a wide

range  like 3/8" to 105". We  can slit material with either of the

three types of   slitting. We can score cut, shear cut and razor

cut  any material. The type of material and its  thickness

determines the type of slitting to be employed.














  The score cut slitting is the fastest and easiest slitting to

be done. Shear cutting system require the teaming  of front

and rear slitters in pairs so that the web passes between the

front and the rear knives and is separated by a scissor-like

shearing action. Razor blade slitting set-up can be done in air

or in grooved roll. Razor blades cannot be set to hold close

slitting tolerances, nor are they capable of cutting through

heavy rigid, or abrasive materials. Soft films like vinyl are cut by

razor slitting.
