Slitting & Rewinding



Mac Converting's main area of expertise comes from our slitting and rewinding capabilities


We bring in several different types of materials and are able to convert them to the specifications of our customers


We also convert specialized materials sent to us by our clientele





Our rewinding capabilities start off as wide as 72.5" up to an outside diameter of 40" and from a 60" width we can rewind up to a 50" diameter

We can rewind our rolls to several different inside diameter cores ranging from 1" through 6", with 3" being the most common





We offer 3 different types of cutting techniques: Score Cut, Shear Cut, andRazor Cut we will choose the best option for your product
Shown here: Our Score Cut option allows us to precisely slit this non-woven fabric to several different widths per the customer's request. We offer the option to label each individual roll for the clients inventory




Narrow slitting is something not as common, given its relative difficulty, however, at Mac Converting it is one

of our specialties


We are able to slit rolls as narrow as 3/8" with extreme precision


Shown here: 27 individual rolls of 3/4" are being Shear Cut from a 21" master roll, with the trims on each end being disposed of to help ensure a clean and accurate final product





Another aspect to Mac Converting's rewinding capabilites is our roll salvage operation as shown here


Rolls with damaged cores are normally considered a loss physically and financially to the customers. We are able to rewind these to new cores with minimal loss to the amount of materials, helping the client retain their original investment in the product





One of the newest additions to Mac Converting's already vast capabilites, is the production of the examination table rolls for clinics, hospitals, schools, etc.


These specific examples are cut to 18" wide and are 125' in length and are packaged in groups of 16 per box. The rolls are also produced at 21" wide with both options being available at 225' in length, which will then fit 12 per box

Cores





We proudly produce virgin cores in house and are capable of thicknesses ranging from 1/16"-1/2" with lengths as small as 30" to as long as 100"


Shown here: These virgin cores are produced at 75" to then be cut to smaller lengths for various customers. These particular examples are 1/8" thick by 3" inside diameter






The virgin cores can then be cut to various lengths specific to the customers needs


Shown here: The cores were cut to 2" length, cleaned, then packaged to be sent off to the customer in bulk. This specific product is 1/8" thick, by 3" inside diameter







Virgin cores can also be packaged as is and sent on pallets directly to the customer


Shown here: On the left are 1/4" thick cores packaged in bundles and palletized


On the right are 1/8" thick cores bundled and palletized the same way. Both are 3" inside diameter







We are able to produce 3/4"-2", 3", 4", 6", & 12" inside diameter


While natural kraft is the most common exterior color for the cores that we produce, as shown on the photo to the left, we can also produce everything with a white exterior

Sheeting and Guillotine cutting





Have flyers with a white border that's too large or stacks of paper that don't have a straight edge?


With our guillotine cutter, we are able to cut down the edges with extreme precision a couple hundred sheets at a time


Not only can our machine trim the edges, but if you want a stack cut down the middle or to any arrangement of sizes, our machine will get it done





With our sheeting machine, we are capable of turning rolls of paper into stacks of sheets cut to the specifications of the customer


Pallets can be as tall as the customer prefers and we provide accurate counts of the quantities per stack


If preferred, we can also package these stacks into bundles of a certain amount to make carrying the stacks easier



Storage/Warehousing






Mac Converting is a large warehouse that has a significant amount of space to house items for stock or items waiting to be converted


If you have stock that needs to be worked in batches, let us know and we will be more than happy to accommodate you
